Bike routes for every level

Thanks to the variety of its landscapes and a constantly growing cycle network, Lombardy is a region that lends itself perfectly to cycle tourism. From the plains crossed by the Navigli canals to the Alpine valleys, each province offers different itineraries but with one common thread: the opportunity to discover the region in an accessible way.

Remaining in the larger cities, in Brescia you can cycle through the Franciacorta vineyards and the shores of Lake Iseo, in Milan along the canals and through urban parks, in Como among the villages overlooking the lake, and in Bergamo you can follow former railways transformed into scenic cycle paths like those in the Seriana Valley and the Brembana Valley.

But it doesn’t end there: for those who love the mountains and the effort of riding, there are also the region’s great climbs, such as the famous Stelvio Pass in the province of Sondrio; in other words, ideal routes for trained cyclists who want to enjoy an Alpine experience. And for those who prefer less demanding routes steeped in history, the great Oglio River cycle route, which crosses the provinces of Brescia, Bergamo, Cremona, and Mantua for a total of over 280 km, is a perfect route, ideal for the most passionate cyclists.

Between lakes, hills, cities of art, and spectacular peaks, Lombardy is a mosaic of routes.

The routes, which can also be explored by bicycle, combine nature, history, and everyday life, offering always pleasant ways to experience the region, whether it be a leisurely ride or a more challenging adventure.
