From the sea to the mountains in a few kilometers

Cycling in Liguria means crossing a region that changes with every turn, from the sea to the mountains in just a few kilometers.

Coastal routes like the Riviera dei Fiori Cycle Route offer a flat route overlooking the sea, ideal for reaching seaside villages like Cervo on the Riviera di Ponente, or Bogliasco in the eastern part of Genoa.

But just turn inland and you’ll find another world: the most inland part of the region offers climbs that test the cyclist’s endurance with every pedal stroke, leading to ancient villages like Triora in the Argentina Valley, or spectacular viewpoints like Montemarcello on the Caprione Promontory.

Finally, among the unmissable climbs are the classic Turchino Pass (a classic of the Milan-Sanremo), the evocative Faiallo Pass, the panoramic Giogo di Toirano, and the challenging Ghiffi Pass.

In Liguria, cycling is an easy way to travel at a leisurely pace, enjoy the scenery, and discover the culture of a region where land and sea meet seamlessly.
